Half Term Boxfit 101 & Locker 27 Boxing Camp

I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very belated Happy New Year and to thank you all for your continuing support towards Boxfit101.

BoxFit101 has kicked off this year with a bang! We currently have lots more young people and adults training one-to-one and in groups, looking to hopefully one day compete in the ring. Numbers for young people and adults have also increased amongst those wanting to focus for a fitness or self defence purpose.

I am also delighted to inform  you that BoxFit101 has now also teamed up with Thai Fit to hold a monthly sparring session for people looking to test their skills in a more professional environment, so far this has been a great success with positive feedback from all participants. The first one of 2015 will be held on Wednesday 25th at Locker 27 7pm if anyone would like to get involved.

As you can see from the exciting things above BoxFit101 is continuing to expand and grow thanks to your help. :)

Now to the bit you have all been waiting for…..Half term is just around the corner and I wanted to let you know about the BoxFit101 & Locker 27 Boxing Camp.

There will be 4 days of training for 12-16 year olds and a full week of training for 6-11 year olds.

6 – 11 year old sessions will run from Monday 16th February – Friday 20th February. Sessions for the 6-11s will start at 10am and run until 11am. These sessions will focus on non-contact boxing skills by using focus mitts and punch bags. Sessions will also focus on footwork and movement drills, along with a mixture of games and exercises for all to enjoy. Just £5 per day.

12 – 16 year old sessions will run Monday 16th February – Thursday 19th February. These sessions will last for two hoursstarting at 11:30am and finishing at 1:30pm. The sessions will be split into two different sections, the first 50 minutes will be spent with me working on improving mobility, boxing skill and technique. This will be achieved by using mobility drills, punch bags, focus mitts and also some semi-contact sparring to work on defence, control and relaxation while under pressure. The second section of the session will be delivered by the Locker 27 Strength and Conditioning Team. This 50 minutes will be focused on improving speed, strength, agility and stamina. This will be achieved by using basic strength exercises like squat variations and also push and pull variations, as well as the use of circuits and speed and agility drills. £40 per day.

If a young person is a member of the Locker 27 Academy they will receive a 10% discount on the price of their session!

All sessions will be held at, Locker 27, Hamm Moor Lane, Addlestone, KT15 2SD.
